Dr. Mette Kristensen recently relocated to Miri, Malaysia from Houston, Texas as Exploration Manager with Shell. Mette completed a PhD in structural geology jointly between the University of Aarhus, Denmark and University College Dublin, Ireland. Mette joined Shell in 2005 and has held a variety of roles across specialist geoscience, development, appraisal, unconventionals, and exploration with focus in the UK North Sea, various basins in the Americas both on & offshore, and West Africa margin. Mette is excited to learn more about the geology, challenges, and opportunities in Malaysia, and to hopefully strengthen Shell’s presence with time.
