Victorien Paumard is currently a Research Fellow at the Centre for Energy and Climate Geoscience, University of Western Australia, specializing on the characterization of siliciclastic and carbonate systems using seismic stratigraphy and seismic geomorphology. He graduated with a PhD in Basin Analysis and Seismic Stratigraphy from the University of Western Australia. He is now a principal investigator of the Quantitative Reservoir Analogues research consortium. His research interests are focused on the development of quantitative methods to build 3D seismic and sequence stratigraphic frameworks to better understand the controls on the evolution of sedimentary basins. He is also interested in the sedimentology and geomorphology of modern deltas for which he is using integrated workflows (remote sensing, field investigations, shallow subsurface) to better characterize their development and architecture at various scales.
