Sandeep is currently leading a team of 120+ bright geophysicists supporting the exploration, development and new energy business in PETRONAS. He has spent 39 years in the energy industry in various technical and leadership roles in ONGC and PETRONAS. Sandeep has championed the deployment of cutting-edge geophysical technologies globally for PETRONAS and led strategic talent development initiatives. He is an IPTC board member, SEG’s APAC chair, recipient of the 2024 “SEG Special Commendation Award”, National Petroleum Management Award (India), SEG’s Honorary Lecturer (2014) and has recently been appointed as the Director at Large at SEG’s board. He is also this year’s recipient of SEG Special Commendation Award. Sandeep is a fitness freak and works actively to promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
