Izwan Ismail

Izwan Ismail is the Vice President of Group Technology & Commercialisation at PETRONAS since October 2024. He is responsible for steering the development of technology and digital initiatives, including the safeguarding and solutioning activities for the PETRONAS Group, while pursuing commercialisation opportunities.

Prior to his current role, he was the President & CEO of PETRONAS Canada Energy Limited and the Country Chairman for PETRONAS in Canada, among several other senior leadership roles.

Izwan has developed an extensive portfolio of international working experience, having held positions in Sydney, Singapore, London and Calgary. He also served as Chairman and Director of PETRONAS subsidiaries and joint ventures.

Izwan holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of New South Wales, Sydney (Australia) and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, Boston (USA).
