Juan Carlos is a highly accomplished Petroleum Engineer with a 36-year successful track record of managing major oil and gas projects, encompassing upstream and mid-stream operations, onshore and offshore, across South America, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

He commenced his career in 1989 as a Field Engineer with Schlumberger. In 1992, he transitioned to Lasmo Colombia, where he occupied diverse positions in production and operations. Following his tenure in Colombia, which concluded in 1998, he assumed various leadership roles with Eni in Venezuela, Egypt, the UK, Indonesia, Italy, Abu Dhabi, South Korea, Mozambique, and currently Indonesia.

Among his most notable accomplishments are the successful leadership and completion of major projects, including:-

Dacion 70,000 bopd new facilities in Venezuela
1.2 bscfd UGDC NGL extraction and Propane export facilities in Egypt
750 Mmscfd gas Jangkrik Production Project in Indonesia
3.4 Mtpa Coral South FLNG project in Mozambique

Juan Carlos currently serves as the Operations Deputy Director at Eni Indonesia, where he is accountable for the delivery of all major project activities and operations within the Kutei Basin.
